Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 3.50 crore), Zee Ent.(number of shares traded: 3.05 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 2.95 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 2.29 crore), IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 2.18 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 1.89 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.67 crore), RBL Bank(number of shares traded: 1.11 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.11 crore) and South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 1.09 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:34AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 144.4 points up at 17418.7, while BSE Sensex was up 439.15 points at 58504.62 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, JSW Steel Ltd.(up 3.64 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.38 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 3.25 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 2.52 per cent) and Axis Bank Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.99 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.94 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
