Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 2.53 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.48 crore), Dish TV India(number of shares traded: 2.26 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 1.82 crore), Ambuja Cements(number of shares traded: 1.72 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.48 crore), Tata Steel(number of shares traded: 1.34 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.30 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 1.16 crore) and South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 1.08 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:09AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 229.5 points up at 17851.75, while BSE Sensex was up 748.71 points at 59889.94 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 3.72 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 3.61 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 3.24 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.02 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 2.44 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.73 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.22 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.29 per cent), Shree Cements Ltd.(down 0.37 per cent) and ITC Ltd.(down 0.67 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
