Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 5.68 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.45 crore), Future Consumer (number of shares traded: 1.55 crore), MRPL(number of shares traded: 1.47 crore), Zomato Ltd.(number of shares traded: 1.46 crore), TV18 Broadcast(number of shares traded: 1.43 crore), NLC India (number of shares traded: 1.39 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 1.24 crore), IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 1.22 crore) and Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.19 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:39AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 92.15 points down at 16976.95, while BSE Sensex was down 287.86 points at 56688.13 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 3.08 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.88 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.83 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.59 per cent) and UPL Ltd.(up 1.17 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 4.36 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 3.13 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 2.79 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 2.59 per cent) and Cipla Ltd.(down 2.49 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
