Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 1.59 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 1.47 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.08 crore), Virtual Global(number of shares traded: 0.48 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.44 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.39 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 0.35 crore), SITI Networks (number of shares traded: 0.34 crore), Karda Const(number of shares traded: 0.34 crore) and BCL Enterprises(number of shares traded: 0.33 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:54AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 131.4 points up at 17090.05, while BSE Sensex was up 431.66 points at 56894.81 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 3.55 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.84 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 2.79 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.58 per cent) and Shree Cements Ltd.(up 2.51 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.85 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(down 1.85 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
