Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 4.55 crore), Adani Power(number of shares traded: 2.95 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.86 crore), MPS Infotecnics (number of shares traded: 2.11 crore), IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 2.10 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.04 crore), BHEL(number of shares traded: 1.84 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.78 crore), SAIL(number of shares traded: 1.77 crore) and ITC(number of shares traded: 1.43 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:29AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 0.6 points up at 17316.1, while BSE Sensex was down 18.11 points at 57971.19 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.63 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.28 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.72 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 1.06 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.85 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.09 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.88 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.83 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.66 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.56 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
