Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 2.08 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 0.97 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 0.75 crore), Sun Tech Over(number of shares traded: 0.55 crore), Inventure Grwth(number of shares traded: 0.46 crore), Adani Power(number of shares traded: 0.46 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 0.43 crore), Cressanda Sol(number of shares traded: 0.37 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.30 crore) and Sintex Inds.(number of shares traded: 0.28 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:29AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 46.8 points down at 17275.4, while BSE Sensex was down 231.35 points at 57765.33 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Cipla Ltd.(up 2.01 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.40 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.23 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.14 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.64 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.30 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.99 per cent) and State Bank of India(down 0.89 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
