Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 7.68 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(number of shares traded: 6.67 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 3.57 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 3.16 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 2.99 crore), Bank of Baroda(number of shares traded: 2.69 crore), Vikas Multicorp(number of shares traded: 2.05 crore), Tata Power(number of shares traded: 2.00 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(number of shares traded: 1.95 crore) and Himadri Speciality(number of shares traded: 1.69 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:09AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 108.7 points up at 18286.8, while BSE Sensex was up 438.6 points at 61362.1 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(up 2.77 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 2.66 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(up 2.48 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 2.30 per cent) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 2.11 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.03 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 1.54 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.45 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 1.34 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.88 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
