Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Tata Power(number of shares traded: 16.55 crore), BHEL(number of shares traded: 10.08 crore), Tata Motors(number of shares traded: 10.08 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 8.65 crore), IDBI Bank(number of shares traded: 5.00 crore), Ashok Leyland(number of shares traded: 3.84 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 3.21 crore), SAIL(number of shares traded: 2.97 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 2.55 crore) and Zee Ent.(number of shares traded: 2.54 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:06AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 146.15 points up at 18138.1, while BSE Sensex was up 383.77 points at 60668.08 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 18.45 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 5.08 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 4.01 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 3.71 per cent) and Titan Company Ltd.(up 3.18 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.35 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 0.80 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.53 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 0.47 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.33 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
