Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 20.07 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 11.97 crore), Filatex Fashions(number of shares traded: 8.93 crore), HDB Financial Services Ltd.(number of shares traded: 5.49 crore), PC Jeweller(number of shares traded: 5.15 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 5.04 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 4.61 crore), Sagility India Ltd.(number of shares traded: 2.94 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 2.21 crore) and YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.19 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:07AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 56.8 points down at 25485.0, while BSE Sensex was down 152.75 points at 83544.54 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.80 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 0.73 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 0.71 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 0.68 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.60 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.08 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.98 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.58 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.30 per cent) and Eternal Ltd.(down 0.98 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
