Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 8.65 crore), Karda Const(number of shares traded: 4.55 crore), Northern Arc Capital Ltd.(number of shares traded: 4.07 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 3.89 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 3.57 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 2.53 crore), Aeroflex Industries(number of shares traded: 2.13 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.92 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.86 crore) and Power Finance Corp.(number of shares traded: 1.53 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:04AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 79.0 points up at 24872.25, while BSE Sensex was up 272.68 points at 81634.55 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.24 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.36 per cent), Jio Financial Services Ltd.(up 1.08 per cent), Eternal Ltd.(up 1.00 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(up 0.94 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.44 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 2.12 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.56 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
