Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 24.96 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 18.94 crore), Karda Const(number of shares traded: 11.22 crore), RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 8.28 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 7.79 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 5.05 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 4.71 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 4.05 crore), HFCL(number of shares traded: 3.64 crore) and IREDA(number of shares traded: 2.60 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:02AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 214.25 points down at 24673.95, while BSE Sensex was down 701.95 points at 80990.03 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Bharat Electronics Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.92 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 0.75 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 0.75 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 0.41 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 2.10 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.74 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.72 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.72 per cent) and UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.64 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
