Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: ITC(number of shares traded: 40.11 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 14.41 crore), Sagility India Ltd.(number of shares traded: 7.38 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 4.10 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 3.52 crore), IFCI(number of shares traded: 2.28 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.01 crore), Jio Financial Services(number of shares traded: 1.80 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.57 crore) and Godha Cabcon & Insul(number of shares traded: 1.49 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:04AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 63.91 points down at 24762.3, while BSE Sensex was down 216.61 points at 81335.02 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.82 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.55 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 0.39 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.33 per cent) and Jio Financial Services Ltd.(up 0.33 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While ITC Ltd.(down 2.71 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 1.27 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.90 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
