Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 16.77 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 13.20 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 8.99 crore), Hind Const Co(number of shares traded: 3.60 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 3.29 crore), IFCI(number of shares traded: 3.28 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 3.24 crore), Eternal(number of shares traded: 3.22 crore), Tata Teleservices(number of shares traded: 1.98 crore) and Karda Const(number of shares traded: 1.86 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:16AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 128.5 points up at 24981.65, while BSE Sensex was up 429.64 points at 82150.72 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tata Motors Ltd.(up 2.12 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(up 2.04 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.01 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.93 per cent) and Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.64 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Eternal Ltd.(down 3.36 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.78 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 0.46 per cent) and Bharat Electronics Ltd.(down 0.29 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
