Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 12.84 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 5.99 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 3.25 crore), Excel Realty N Infra(number of shares traded: 3.04 crore), Jyoti Structure(number of shares traded: 2.41 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.66 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.59 crore), Afcons Infrastru(number of shares traded: 1.51 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 1.20 crore) and Indian Oil Corp.(number of shares traded: 1.11 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 09:57AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 260.3 points down at 24044.05, while BSE Sensex was 830.46 points at 78893.66 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.18 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.30 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.27 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(up 0.56 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 4.12 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 3.78 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 3.14 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 2.88 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(down 2.72 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
