Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: YES Bank(number of shares traded: 4.21 crore), Franklin Industries(number of shares traded: 3.75 crore), Alstone Textiles(number of shares traded: 3.61 crore), G G Engineering(number of shares traded: 1.29 crore), Sun Tech Over(number of shares traded: 1.20 crore), Shalimar Prod(number of shares traded: 1.09 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.02 crore), Sawaca Business(number of shares traded: 0.69 crore), GI Engineering(number of shares traded: 0.62 crore) and Rail Vikas Nigam(number of shares traded: 0.50 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:19AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 67.41 points down at 24257.05, while BSE Sensex was down 247.85 points at 79676.92 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 2.24 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.91 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 0.84 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent) and Tata Steel Ltd.(up 0.65 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.25 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.08 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.04 per cent) and Cipla Ltd.(down 0.99 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
