Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 15.09 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 5.76 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(number of shares traded: 4.94 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 4.79 crore), NBCC (number of shares traded: 4.58 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 3.73 crore), HFCL(number of shares traded: 3.44 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 3.22 crore), BEL(number of shares traded: 3.12 crore) and Ircon Intl.(number of shares traded: 2.72 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:34AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 62.25 points down at 24239.9, while BSE Sensex was down 322.23 points at 79727.44 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.46 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.12 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.08 per cent), Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.61 per cent) and Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 1.34 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 4.47 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 1.68 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.65 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.70 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.54 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
