Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 6.53 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 2.23 crore), G G Engineering(number of shares traded: 1.61 crore), Avance Tech(number of shares traded: 1.59 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 0.54 crore), JP Associates(number of shares traded: 0.49 crore), Alstone Textiles(number of shares traded: 0.35 crore), Indian Renewable(number of shares traded: 0.35 crore), Nirlon Ltd(number of shares traded: 0.34 crore) and Standard Cap(number of shares traded: 0.34 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:49AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 111.7 points up at 22755.1, while BSE Sensex was up 338.25 points at 75009.53 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 3.88 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.84 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.87 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.84 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(up 1.61 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.90 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.58 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 0.45 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 0.43 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
