Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 55.44 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 6.78 crore), SAIL(number of shares traded: 3.43 crore), Hindustan Motor(number of shares traded: 2.33 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 2.11 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 1.99 crore), IFCI(number of shares traded: 1.69 crore), Rama Steel Tubes(number of shares traded: 1.54 crore), Vikas Multicorp(number of shares traded: 1.39 crore) and Brightcom Group(number of shares traded: 1.35 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:39AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 98.6 points up at 22466.6, while BSE Sensex was up 340.44 points at 74078.89 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Cipla Ltd.(up 2.44 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.23 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.74 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 1.49 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.04 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 5.05 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.56 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.35 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.25 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.22 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
