Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 11.78 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 10.56 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 6.31 crore), Brightcom Group(number of shares traded: 3.47 crore), NHPC(number of shares traded: 3.26 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 2.64 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 2.55 crore), Easy Trip Planners(number of shares traded: 2.43 crore), Rama Steel Tubes(number of shares traded: 2.20 crore) and GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.03 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:15AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 243.15 points up at 22366.8, while BSE Sensex was up 806.85 points at 73803.16 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 4.71 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 4.13 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.44 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.16 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 2.03 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 0.83 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.45 per cent) and Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 0.08 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
