Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 60.68 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 17.22 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 10.77 crore), NHPC(number of shares traded: 2.55 crore), Indus Towers(number of shares traded: 2.20 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 2.19 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 2.01 crore), Jio Financial Servic(number of shares traded: 1.83 crore), Dish TV India(number of shares traded: 1.82 crore) and GMR Infra(number of shares traded: 1.66 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:39AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 6.15 points down at 22192.2, while BSE Sensex was up 7.58 points at 73102.8 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.38 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 1.31 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 1.08 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 0.97 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(up 0.76 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.93 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.88 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(down 1.60 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.37 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.06 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
