Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 12.04 crore), NHPC(number of shares traded: 1.76 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.46 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 1.40 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 1.13 crore), Vikas Ecotech (number of shares traded: 1.07 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 1.05 crore), JCT Ltd(number of shares traded: 0.96 crore), SJVN(number of shares traded: 0.93 crore) and NCL Research(number of shares traded: 0.69 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:09AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 67.86 points up at 21683.9, while BSE Sensex was up 317.97 points at 71390.46 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.07 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 1.89 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 1.82 per cent), UPL Ltd.(up 1.76 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.70 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 13.74 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.11 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 1.68 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(down 1.42 per cent) and Wipro Ltd.(down 1.02 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
