Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 16.14 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 6.08 crore), Indian Renewable(number of shares traded: 4.23 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 4.16 crore), HFCL(number of shares traded: 2.87 crore), GAIL(number of shares traded: 2.72 crore), BEL(number of shares traded: 2.68 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.49 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 2.25 crore) and Syncom Form(number of shares traded: 2.22 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:29AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 89.25 points up at 21438.65, while BSE Sensex was up 225.7 points at 71332.66 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.22 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.62 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 2.34 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 2.18 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(up 1.98 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Infosys Ltd.(down 1.44 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 0.60 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 0.58 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 0.36 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 0.16 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
