Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 10.59 crore), Zomato(number of shares traded: 5.87 crore), MMTC(number of shares traded: 4.85 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 4.24 crore), Infibeam Avenues(number of shares traded: 4.17 crore), NMDC(number of shares traded: 3.12 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.72 crore), NALCO(number of shares traded: 2.03 crore), Guj Mineral Dev.(number of shares traded: 1.94 crore) and RattanIndia Power (number of shares traded: 1.91 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:55AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 4.9 points up at 19816.25, while BSE Sensex was up 12.0 points at 66485.05 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Coal India Ltd.(up 2.02 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.69 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.56 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.35 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.42 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.96 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.93 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 0.72 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.64 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
