Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 9.79 crore), Indian Railway Fin(number of shares traded: 6.87 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 4.20 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 3.36 crore), JP Power(number of shares traded: 3.13 crore), Ibull Housing Fin(number of shares traded: 2.35 crore), Orient Green Pwr(number of shares traded: 2.18 crore), Bank of Maharashtra(number of shares traded: 2.10 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 1.69 crore) and IOB(number of shares traded: 1.44 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:14AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 120.65 points down at 19612.9, while BSE Sensex was down 405.6 points at 66053.71 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 0.63 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 0.48 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 0.28 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 0.28 per cent) and Infosys Ltd.(up 0.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Tata Steel Ltd.(down 2.19 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.16 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 2.01 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
