Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Zomato(number of shares traded: 9.95 crore), YES Bank(number of shares traded: 5.98 crore), Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 5.30 crore), Hind Const Co(number of shares traded: 4.59 crore), Reliance Power(number of shares traded: 4.30 crore), South Indian Bnk(number of shares traded: 3.50 crore), Delta Corp(number of shares traded: 2.35 crore), Brightcom Group(number of shares traded: 2.34 crore), GTL Infra(number of shares traded: 2.31 crore) and Federal Bank(number of shares traded: 1.90 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:40AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 165.0 points up at 19549.3, while BSE Sensex was up 599.06 points at 65992.96 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 2.89 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.62 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(up 2.53 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.32 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.98 per cent) were among the top gainers.


While Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 0.95 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 0.83 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(down 0.42 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
