Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: RIL(Rs. 2393.58 crore), Infosys(Rs. 1178.22 crore), Syrma SGS Technology Ltd.(Rs. 879.99 crore), TCS(Rs. 792.83 crore), Piramal Ent.(Rs. 738.75 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 695.59 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 693.16 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 676.30 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 663.88 crore) and Tech Mahindra(Rs. 631.35 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 246.0 points down at 17312.9, while BSE Sensex fell 861.25 points to 57972.62.

In the Nifty index, Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.58 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(up 1.30 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 0.86 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.61 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(up 0.59 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 4.61 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 3.93 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 3.09 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 2.98 per cent) and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 2.78 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
