Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: HDFC Bank(Rs. 3215.86 crore), Infosys(Rs. 2704.45 crore), TCS(Rs. 2601.42 crore), Wipro(Rs. 2010.93 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 1886.88 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 1393.05 crore), RIL(Rs. 1381.94 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 1216.47 crore), BSE(Rs. 842.48 crore) and ICICI Bank(Rs. 772.30 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 45.45 points up at 18257.8, while BSE Sensex rose 85.26 points to 61235.3.

In the Nifty index, Tata Steel Ltd.(up 6.45 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 4.69 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 3.50 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 3.39 per cent) and UPL Ltd.(up 2.26 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Wipro Ltd.(down 6.02 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 2.47 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.53 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
