Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Kotak Bank(Rs. 2747.26 crore), Vimta Labs(Rs. 1786.75 crore), Laurus Labs(Rs. 1558.04 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 1252.21 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1212.64 crore), Indian Energy Exchg(Rs. 1170.35 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1116.40 crore), CarTrade Tech(Rs. 1095.37 crore), RIL(Rs. 1080.25 crore) and TCS(Rs. 1043.58 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 156.1 points down at 24680.9, while BSE Sensex fell 572.07 points to 80891.02.

In the Nifty index, Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 2.86 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.58 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.43 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.09 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(up 1.01 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 7.44 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 3.64 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 3.54 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.63 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 2.46 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
