Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

The NSE Nifty index closed 105.11 points up at 23591.95

Nifty moved in a tight range of 82 points, and ended slightly below the psychologically crucial level of 15,700.

NEW DELHI: Zomato(Rs. 8239.74 crore), Jio Financial Services(Rs. 4257.86 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 3806.60 crore), Britannia(Rs. 3268.75 crore), BSE(Rs. 3240.43 crore), BPCL(Rs. 2967.69 crore), Capri Global(Rs. 2441.18 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 2291.74 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 2025.74 crore) and Indian Hotels(Rs. 2016.83 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 105.11 points up at 23591.95, while BSE Sensex rose 317.93 points to 77606.43.

In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 3.46 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 3.21 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 2.79 per cent), Adani Enterprises Ltd.(up 2.20 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.02 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 5.61 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.57 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.07 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 0.80 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(down 0.76 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
