Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Kalyan Jewellers Ind(Rs. 230.12 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 117.05 crore), Glenmark Pharma(Rs. 105.72 crore), Protean eGov Techno(Rs. 101.66 crore), Motilal Oswal(Rs. 88.84 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 78.54 crore), SBI(Rs. 50.56 crore), Amber Enterprises(Rs. 47.41 crore), RVNL(Rs. 47.19 crore) and RIL(Rs. 45.62 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 42.96 points down at 23696.3, while BSE Sensex fell 312.53 points to 78271.28.

In the Nifty index, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 2.98 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 2.86 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 2.25 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 2.08 per cent) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 1.72 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Asian Paints Ltd.(down 3.37 per cent), Titan Company Ltd.(down 2.97 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 2.20 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.93 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.91 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
