Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

The NSE Nifty index closed 141.55 points up at 23344.75

Nifty moved in a tight range of 82 points, and ended slightly below the psychologically crucial level of 15,700.

NEW DELHI: Axis Bank(Rs. 260.60 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 190.79 crore), Max Healthcare(Rs. 168.87 crore), Kalyan Jewellers Ind(Rs. 140.28 crore), Go Digit General Ins(Rs. 138.49 crore), Kotak Bank(Rs. 124.13 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 120.83 crore), Zomato(Rs. 89.93 crore), Wipro(Rs. 73.44 crore) and Sangam Renewables(Rs. 56.79 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 141.55 points up at 23344.75, while BSE Sensex 454.11 points to 77073.44.

In the Nifty index, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.(up 9.21 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 6.50 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 3.60 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 3.25 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(up 3.04 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 2.65 per cent), Trent Ltd.(down 2.04 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.87 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 1.27 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
