Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Trent(Rs. 2899.44 crore), Waaree Energies(Rs. 1995.20 crore), Apollo Hospital(Rs. 1853.78 crore), Hindalco(Rs. 1751.41 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1650.14 crore), BSE(Rs. 1552.08 crore), TCS(Rs. 1543.57 crore), Zomato(Rs. 1477.24 crore), Swan Energy(Rs. 1462.74 crore) and Tata Steel(Rs. 1354.54 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 284.71 points down at 24199.35, while BSE Sensex 836.34 points to 79541.79.

In the Nifty index, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 6.56 per cent), State Bank of India(up 0.57 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.43 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(up 0.28 per cent) and Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 0.04 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 8.49 per cent), Trent Ltd.(down 6.47 per cent), Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 3.66 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 3.15 per cent) and Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.52 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
