Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

The NSE Nifty index closed 75.96 points up at 23398.9

Nagaraj Shetti, Technical Research Analyst at HDFC Securities, believes Monday's pattern could be considered as a High Wave, which reflects high volatility in the market at swing highs.

NEW DELHI: IRB Infrastructure Trust(Rs. 5884.28 crore), Oracle(Rs. 2236.34 crore), HAL(Rs. 2180.70 crore), InterGlobe(Rs. 1926.84 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1907.72 crore), BEL(Rs. 1462.38 crore), HDFC Life(Rs. 1436.84 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 1419.73 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 1390.69 crore) and RIL(Rs. 1346.20 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 75.96 points up at 23398.9, while BSE Sensex rose 204.33 points to 76810.9.

In the Nifty index, Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 4.58 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 3.64 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 3.18 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 2.67 per cent) and Titan Company Ltd.(up 2.66 per cent) stood among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.64 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 1.12 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(down 1.11 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 1.02 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
