Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Mphasis(Rs. 8042.49 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1759.19 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 1743.06 crore), REC(Rs. 1629.80 crore), Adani Ent.(Rs. 1603.02 crore), Heritage Foods(Rs. 1442.95 crore), IRB Infra Dev.(Rs. 1437.05 crore), SBI(Rs. 1400.23 crore), HAL(Rs. 1383.40 crore) and RIL(Rs. 1370.01 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 30.96 points down at 23259.2, while BSE Sensex fell 203.28 points to 76490.08.

In the Nifty index, UltraTech Cement Ltd.(up 3.48 per cent), Grasim Industries Ltd.(up 2.82 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.52 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(up 2.48 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(up 2.09 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Tech Mahindra Ltd.(down 2.71 per cent), Infosys Ltd.(down 2.21 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(down 1.92 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.75 per cent) and LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 1.49 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
