Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: Apollo Tyres(Rs. 1093.23 crore), IRB Infra Dev.(Rs. 189.61 crore), BHEL(Rs. 177.91 crore), BEL(Rs. 140.07 crore), Indian Railway Fin(Rs. 127.59 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 125.12 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(Rs. 122.61 crore), Hindustan Zinc(Rs. 111.69 crore), Indian Renewable(Rs. 108.53 crore) and NHPC(Rs. 103.76 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 68.75 points up at 22597.8, while BSE Sensex rose 267.75 points to 74221.06.

In the Nifty index, Cipla Ltd.(up 2.78 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 2.44 per cent), Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(up 2.42 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 2.26 per cent) and Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 1.73 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Shriram Finance Ltd.(down 1.54 per cent), State Bank of India(down 1.44 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.35 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 1.31 per cent) and Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 1.15 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
