Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of traded value

NEW DELHI: RIL(Rs. 303.27 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 133.49 crore), Olectra Greentech(Rs. 129.26 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 87.69 crore), Suzlon Energy(Rs. 59.18 crore), PNB(Rs. 50.68 crore), SBI(Rs. 49.20 crore), Zee Ent.(Rs. 48.45 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 41.30 crore) and HDFC Bank(Rs. 40.77 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index ended the session 24.1 points up at 19355.9, while BSE Sensex rose 63.72 points to 65344.17.

In the Nifty index, Reliance Industries Ltd.(up 3.85 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(up 3.32 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 2.82 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 1.72 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.54 per cent) stood among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Titan Company Ltd.(down 3.13 per cent), HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 2.86 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 2.13 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 1.72 per cent) and Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 1.54 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
