Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Infosys(Rs. 1864.35 crore), TCS(Rs. 1603.56 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 1476.58 crore), Wipro(Rs. 1172.46 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 975.42 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 501.79 crore), RIL(Rs. 499.00 crore), Indian Energy Exchg(Rs. 408.86 crore), Sun Pharma(Rs. 364.61 crore) and ICICI Bank(Rs. 339.51 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:26AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 21.15 points up at 18233.5, while BSE Sensex was up 43.94 points at 61193.98 as of 11:26AM(IST)on January 13.

In the Nifty index, Tata Steel Ltd.(up 4.67 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(up 3.83 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 3.37 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(up 3.22 per cent) and UPL Ltd.(up 2.27 per cent) were among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Wipro Ltd.(down 5.62 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.67 per cent), HDFC Bank Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent) and HCL Technologies Ltd.(down 1.27 per cent) were among the top losers.
