Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Indian Energy Exchg(Rs. 1342.30 crore), IRCTC(Rs. 810.39 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 759.86 crore), TVS Motor(Rs. 740.36 crore), HDFC(Rs. 611.73 crore), Bajaj Finance(Rs. 596.31 crore), Tata Power(Rs. 578.12 crore), IRB Infra Dev.(Rs. 562.45 crore), Titan Company (Rs. 420.78 crore) and Infosys(Rs. 413.56 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:50AM in Friday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 64.7 points up at 18242.8, while BSE Sensex was up 315.87 points at 61239.37 as of 10:50AM(IST)on October 22.

In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 3.35 per cent), Housing Development Finance Corporation Ltd.(up 3.06 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.94 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 1.60 per cent) and HDFC Bank Ltd.(up 1.44 per cent) were among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 2.13 per cent), Coal India Ltd.(down 2.11 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.02 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 1.86 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 1.77 per cent) were among the top losers.
