Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

Mazhar Mohammad of Chartviewindia.in said technical indicators are turning mixed as the weekly MACD chart has generated a 'buy' signal, giving an edge to the bulls.

NEW DELHI: J B Chemicals(Rs. 1692.31 crore), BSE(Rs. 1286.69 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 936.67 crore), HAL(Rs. 517.80 crore), Zomato(Rs. 475.11 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 424.17 crore), RIL(Rs. 332.52 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 300.08 crore), Capri Global(Rs. 289.91 crore) and IndusInd Bank(Rs. 288.08 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:04AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 88.25 points up at 23575.1, while BSE Sensex was up 325.2 points at 77613.7 as of 10:04AM(IST)on March 27.

In the Nifty index, Larsen & Toubro Ltd.(up 1.40 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.35 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.29 per cent), Wipro Ltd.(up 1.26 per cent) and Shriram Finance Ltd.(up 1.25 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 5.46 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 1.61 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 1.03 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.66 per cent) were among the top losers.
