Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

The NSE Nifty index was trading 137.3 points up at 24709.95

Agarwal said the global economy is showing clear signs of recovery. The second wave of Covid-19 is ebbing in India with total active cases at less than 20 per cent of May highs.

NEW DELHI: Zomato(Rs. 5316.68 crore), HG Infra Engg(Rs. 283.29 crore), Krishna Instt of Medical Sciences(Rs. 185.49 crore), Mazagon Dock Ship(Rs. 91.47 crore), Techno Electric(Rs. 89.53 crore), Angel One(Rs. 87.56 crore), Suzlon Energy(Rs. 41.89 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(Rs. 37.54 crore), Hindustan Zinc(Rs. 32.90 crore) and Praj Ind.(Rs. 30.41 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:25AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 137.3 points up at 24709.95, while BSE Sensex was up 454.28 points at 80878.96 as of 11:25AM(IST)on August 20.

In the Nifty index, IndusInd Bank Ltd.(up 2.93 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.80 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(up 2.45 per cent), Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 2.22 per cent) and HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 2.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.

On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 1.59 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.00 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 0.88 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 0.64 per cent) and Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 0.63 per cent) were among the top losers.
