Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Zomato(Rs. 221.08 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 168.95 crore), Suzlon Energy(Rs. 134.77 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(Rs. 124.79 crore), Indian Renewable(Rs. 123.37 crore), BEL(Rs. 97.11 crore), Protean eGov Techno(Rs. 95.41 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 91.36 crore), SBI(Rs. 74.54 crore) and Jio Financial Services(Rs. 69.22 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 11:09AM in Monday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 642.66 points down at 24075.05, while BSE Sensex was down 2237.91 points at 78744.04 as of 11:09AM(IST)on August 05.

In the Nifty index, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(up 1.72 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(up 0.83 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(up 0.81 per cent), Britannia Industries Ltd.(up 0.33 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(up 0.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Tata Motors Ltd.(down 5.89 per cent), Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(down 5.40 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 4.82 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 4.35 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki India Ltd.(down 4.33 per cent) were among the top losers.
