Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(Rs. 101.80 crore), Dixon Tech(Rs. 48.53 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 42.92 crore), GAIL(Rs. 42.56 crore), Protean eGov Techno(Rs. 42.00 crore), Indian Oil Corp.(Rs. 34.13 crore), GMR Infra(Rs. 29.02 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 27.92 crore), Comfort Intech(Rs. 26.50 crore) and Adani Transmission(Rs. 25.95 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:19AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 84.5 points up at 24941.8, while BSE Sensex was up 250.17 points at 81705.57 as of 10:19AM(IST)on July 31.

In the Nifty index, Asian Paints Ltd.(up 2.10 per cent), NTPC Ltd.(up 1.91 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 1.49 per cent), Tech Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.36 per cent) and SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 1.28 per cent) were among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Tata Consumer Products Ltd.(down 3.51 per cent), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd.(down 1.28 per cent), Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.82 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 0.55 per cent) were among the top losers.
