Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: ONGC(Rs. 1129.98 crore), Jio Financial Servic(Rs. 1077.26 crore), Exide Inds.(Rs. 782.86 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 543.41 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 483.41 crore), Vedanta (Rs. 475.66 crore), Senco Gold(Rs. 380.92 crore), Bharti Hexacom(Rs. 353.75 crore), GAIL(Rs. 352.29 crore) and RIL(Rs. 349.69 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:29AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 85.8 points down at 22186.7, while BSE Sensex was down 359.03 points at 73040.75 as of 10:29AM(IST)on April 16.

In the Nifty index, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd.(up 3.94 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 1.80 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(up 1.47 per cent), Hindalco Industries Ltd.(up 0.67 per cent) and Coal India Ltd.(up 0.65 per cent) were among the top gainers.


On the other hand, LTIMindtree Ltd.(down 2.47 per cent), Bajaj Finserv Ltd.(down 1.87 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 1.84 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.61 per cent) and Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent) were among the top losers.
