Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: TCS(Rs. 2442.18 crore), Tata Steel(Rs. 801.34 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 648.54 crore), Jio Financial Servic(Rs. 611.69 crore), InterGlobe(Rs. 541.87 crore), Star Health(Rs. 444.57 crore), Tata Motors(Rs. 399.18 crore), Bharti Airtel(Rs. 377.47 crore), HUL(Rs. 364.18 crore) and Indian Oil Corp.(Rs. 361.81 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:55AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 191.55 points down at 21864.15, while BSE Sensex was down 571.91 points at 72176.51 as of 10:55AM(IST)on March 19.

In the Nifty index, Bajaj Finance Ltd.(up 1.10 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.92 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(up 0.49 per cent), Bajaj Auto Ltd.(up 0.46 per cent) and Eicher Motors Ltd.(up 0.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 3.44 per cent), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd.(down 3.17 per cent), Nestle India Ltd.(down 3.15 per cent), Cipla Ltd.(down 2.91 per cent) and IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.38 per cent) were among the top losers.
