Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: HUDCO(Rs. 1292.43 crore), Hind Copper(Rs. 930.32 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 838.82 crore), Azad Engineering Ltd.(Rs. 538.54 crore), BHEL(Rs. 426.81 crore), PNB(Rs. 391.62 crore), SAIL(Rs. 386.68 crore), NALCO(Rs. 376.94 crore), ICICI Bank(Rs. 336.72 crore) and Canara Bank (Rs. 336.14 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:19AM in Thursday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 33.65 points up at 21688.4, while BSE Sensex was up 187.72 points at 72226.15 as of 10:19AM(IST)on December 28.

In the Nifty index, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(up 1.78 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(up 1.41 per cent), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(up 1.02 per cent), SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd.(up 0.96 per cent) and NTPC Ltd.(up 0.88 per cent) were among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Grasim Industries Ltd.(down 0.61 per cent), Axis Bank Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.59 per cent), Eicher Motors Ltd.(down 0.53 per cent) and Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.51 per cent) were among the top losers.
