Share market update: Most active stocks of the day in terms of total traded value

NEW DELHI: Vedanta (Rs. 43.90 crore), Cochin Shipyard(Rs. 34.28 crore), HDFC Bank(Rs. 31.84 crore), Vodafone Idea(Rs. 29.12 crore), Brightcom Group(Rs. 26.76 crore), YES Bank(Rs. 25.50 crore), South Indian Bnk(Rs. 22.29 crore), REC(Rs. 22.08 crore), Indian Railway Fin(Rs. 21.51 crore) and IFCI(Rs. 21.08 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:39AM in Wednesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index traded 96.5 points down at 19568.2, while BSE Sensex was down 339.78 points at 65605.69 as of 10:39AM(IST)on September 27.

In the Nifty index, Cipla Ltd.(up 1.74 per cent), Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd.(up 1.16 per cent), Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(up 0.81 per cent), LTIMindtree Ltd.(up 0.75 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(up 0.50 per cent) were among the top gainers.


On the other hand, Tata Steel Ltd.(down 1.55 per cent), Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 1.40 per cent), UPL Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), ICICI Bank Ltd.(down 1.24 per cent) and Nestle India Ltd.(down 1.09 per cent) were among the top losers.
