Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 3.54 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 2.57 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 2.52 crore), Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 2.15 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.45 crore), IDFC First Bank(numbers of share traded: 1.39 crore), Rail Vikas Nigam(numbers of share traded: 1.05 crore), Vakrangee (numbers of share traded: 1.01 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 0.98 crore) and Alok Industries(numbers of share traded: 0.90 crore) emerged top gainers in Tuesday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 82.65 points up at 18147.65, while BSE Sensex ended up 242.27 points at 61354.71.

On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp Ltd.(down 2.45 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 1.48 per cent), UltraTech Cement Ltd.(down 1.32 per cent), Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.14 per cent) and Tata Motors Ltd.(down 0.97 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
