Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Brightcom Group(numbers of share traded: 12.64 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 11.44 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 10.13 crore), BEL(numbers of share traded: 6.45 crore), South Indian Bnk(numbers of share traded: 6.39 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 6.18 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 6.12 crore), Zomato Ltd.(numbers of share traded: 5.66 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 4.43 crore) and Vedanta (numbers of share traded: 4.16 crore) emerged top gainers in Friday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 279.05 points up at 17359.75, while BSE Sensex ended up 1031.43 points at 58991.52.

On the other hand, Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd.(down 1.19 per cent), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd.(down 0.89 per cent), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(down 0.75 per cent), Asian Paints Ltd.(down 0.32 per cent) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.15 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
