Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 4.81 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 3.85 crore), Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 3.24 crore), Motherson Sumi(numbers of share traded: 2.70 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 2.02 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 1.82 crore), MPS Infotecnics (numbers of share traded: 1.11 crore), Brightcom Group(numbers of share traded: 0.87 crore), NCL Research(numbers of share traded: 0.61 crore) and PNB(numbers of share traded: 0.59 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 13.45 points up at 16985.6, while BSE Sensex ended up 78.94 points at 57634.84.

On the other hand, Hindalco Industries Ltd.(down 5.22 per cent), Tata Steel Ltd.(down 3.31 per cent), JSW Steel Ltd.(down 2.54 per cent), IndusInd Bank Ltd.(down 2.54 per cent) and Bharti Airtel Ltd.(down 1.41 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
