Share market update: Most active stocks in today's market in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Vodafone Idea(numbers of share traded: 2.98 crore), InterGlobe(numbers of share traded: 1.71 crore), Seacoast Shipping(numbers of share traded: 1.71 crore), Suzlon Energy(numbers of share traded: 1.55 crore), G G Engineering(numbers of share traded: 1.35 crore), GTL Infra(numbers of share traded: 1.34 crore), JP Power(numbers of share traded: 1.14 crore), Alstone Textiles(numbers of share traded: 0.89 crore), YES Bank(numbers of share traded: 0.88 crore) and Brightcom Group(numbers of share traded: 0.84 crore) emerged top gainers in Thursday's market in terms of trading volume.

The NSE Nifty index closed 20.0 points up at 18035.85, while BSE Sensex ended up 44.42 points at 61319.51.

On the other hand, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 1.65 per cent), HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd.(down 0.87 per cent), Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(down 0.84 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent) and Bajaj Finance Ltd.(down 0.81 per cent) were among the top losers of the day.
